I decided to make the kids a jello poke cake. I've only ever made one, but we're trying to use our stock of food so we can move easier. Enter a few cake mixes and random boxes of jello. So super easy.
Make your favorite cake or cake mix, bake as directed, and let it cool.
Using a chopstick, poke holes all over the cooled cake, roughly ½" apart.
Using a 3oz box of flavored jello, add 1 cup of boiling water. Stir for 2 minutes and add ½ cup of cold water. Stir and pour all over then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Spread 8-16oz of Cool Whip over the top of the chilled cat and return to fridge, chilling at least 1 more hour.
