Tortilla Soup

16 cups water/chicken broth
chicken bouillon if you use water (I just go for taste)
3 cups of rice, uncooked
4 cups of chicken, shredded
1 onion, chopped
4 tbsp parsley
2 tbsp chili powder (I add this last and season to taste)
2 tbsp garlic powder
2 tsp salt
2 tsp pepper
2 cans diced tomatoes w/juice
tortilla chips, broken into soup
grated cheese sprinkled on top

Dump it all together and let it simmer and until it gets a bit thicker. Sometimes I add a bit more rice. We break up tortilla chips in our bowl, pour on the soup, then top with grated cheese, whatever you like.
